“Touching the Tide” Project led by Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB May 2012

Bill Jenman, Development Officer, chats to Dee about this Landscape Partnership Project which will look at how the coastal communities live with cultural and natural change, in this exceptional landscape of high quality heritage.  It will focus on the past, the present and the future to improve understanding and appreciation of coastal change; capture and tell stories about the changing coastal landscape; actively involve people in caring for their coast and take a role in the decision making processes affecting it.

Love and War on the Kensington Front

Gertrude TootalHilary Weston is a travel and history writer who lives in Framlingham and here she publishes for the first time extracts from the adapted diaries of her great aunt Gertrude (Gertie) Tootal. The diaries came into her possession in 1987 on the death of her grandmother Kathleen, Gertie’s younger sister.  They tell the tale of an upper-middle class London family and Gertie’s love affair during the First World War.

Episode 10 – A visit to Scotland and Gertie sums things up.
